TFA announces closure of operations
After 22 years of helping thyroid patients and educating the public and the media about thyroid problems, the Thyroid Foundation of America will be closing operations on March 31, 2008. It is unfortunate that their unique public service of telephone assistance will no longer be available to thyroid patients, friends and families. We are encouraged that the TFA Founder, Larry Wood, MD, a long-time ATA member will continue to work in the area of patient education and raising funds for patient resources and thyroid research under the auspices of the American Thyroid Association.
