Clinical Excellence

• ATA DTC Guidelines: Since their publication in August 2025, the ATA’s updated Differentiated Thyroid Cancer Guidelines have achieved extraordinary reach, with more than 200,000 individual downloads and 55 unique citations to date, reflecting their immediate impact on clinical practice and research. 2025 American Thyroid Association Management Guidelines for Adult Patients with Differentiated Thyroid Cancer 
• ATA Addresses the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Regulatory Action for Unapproved Thyroid Medications 
• ATA and Medscape collaboration resulting in nine episodes in the series: Thyroid Stimulating Podcasts 
• ATA Guidelines and Statements Committee (GSC) and the ATA Board completed work on the ATA Multidisciplinary Consensus Statement on Ambulatory Thyroid Surgery. This work supports advancing thyroid care. 

Education

The 2025 ATA Annual Meeting in Scottsdale was a showcase for ground-breaking science and a forum for networking with colleagues. More than 1,300 professionals attended from across the United States and around the world. Highlights included:

• The ATA® welcomed Dena Silva, MS, CHCP as the new Director of Education and Communications in October of 2025. Dena brings over a decade of experience in continuing medical education, and the ATA looks forward to expanding the education offerings under her direction!
